Scholarships for the EUC students for the CFA professional exam
European University Cyprus has become the latest university to be welcomed into the CFA Institute University Affiliation Program. Specifically, the BSc in Economics and Finance, offered by the Department of Accounting, Economics, and Finance has been acknowledged as incorporating at least 70% of the CFA Program curriculum and placing emphasis on the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct within the program. This program position EUC students well to obtain the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) charter, which has become the most respected and recognized investment credential in the world.
Entry into the CFA Institute University Affiliation Program signals to potential students, employers, and the marketplace that European University Cyprus curriculum is closely tied to professional practice and is well-suited to preparing students to sit for the CFA Program examinations.
As part of this collaboration, three (3) scholarships have been secured for the 2025/26 academic year to cover the costs of the CFA examination, paving the way for students to achieve the internationally recognized Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
This distinction provides students of the BSc Degree in Economics and Finance with unique benefits, such as exclusive access to scholarships for the CFA Program and valuable educational resources, including financial analysis tools, specialized research databases, and CFA exam preparation materials. These benefits further strengthen the department’s already close ties with the global CFA Institute community. Moreover, this recognition underscores the BSc program’s commitment to academic excellence, preparing students for leadership roles in economics and finance while upholding the highest professional and ethical standards globally.
Aligned with its academic excellence and relevance to the financial industry, the Department of Accounting, Economics, and Finance also offers a Distance Learning MSc in Data Analytics in Accounting and Finance, which addresses industry demands in investment management and professional certifications.
Additionally, this affiliation provides enhanced teaching resources for faculty members, some of whom are already CFA charterholders. These resources support the implementation of innovative teaching methods, ensuring that the program aligns with current market standards and enables faculty to deliver advanced, high-level knowledge to students.
