Information
The MA in Hellenic Studies at EUC offers three areas of specialization: History, Archaeology/Art and Education/Cultural Heritage and provides students with a comprehensive study of the political, cultural, economic and social activity of the Greeks from antiquity to the present.
Inter-disciplinary in nature, the program equips students with the unique opportunity to acquire specialized knowledge of the Greek past and present and appreciate the importance of studying, perpetuating and promoting this valuable inheritance.

- Themes of Ancient Greek History (10 ECTS)
- Themes of Byzantine History (10 ECTS)
- Byzantine and Latin States after the Fall of Constantinople in1204 AD (10 ECTS)
- Greece and Europe from the 19th to the 21st century: Political, Diplomatic and Economic Relations (10 ECTS)
- Greece and Cyprus in the post-war World, 1945-1991 (10 ECTS)
- Special Issues in Hellenic Studies: History (10 ECTS)
2. Archaeology & Art (40 ECTS)
The student chooses four of the following courses:
- Archaeological Theory and Method (10 ECTS)
- Art and Architecture of the Classical and Hellenistic World (10 ECTS)
- Archaeology and Art of Byzantine and Medieval Cyprus (10 ECTS)
- Architecture and Painting in the age of the Palaiologoi (10 ECTS)
- The Greek World and the Dilemmas of Modernity, 1821-1991: Political, Cultural and Intellectual Perspectives (10 ECTS)
- Special Issues in Hellenic Studies: Archaeology and Art (10 ECTS)
3. Education and Heritage Management (40 ECTS)
